A terrific day wandering about the town. It’s pretty small so impossible to get lost and there’s lots of shops to look at. As a special bonus Saturday is market day so there’s a good range of produce to buy. There’s also a good launderette, a cafe (Mon Oncle Benjamin) with free wifi for Skype and a china shop with a wide range of stuff you don’t yet know that you need. The museum is also an interesting visit.
Lunch at L’Angelus is really good although the three courses was really far to much for us. It was more about soaking up the ambience in the church square and watching the passers by after the market shut at noon.
The fine warm weather changed in the late afternoon into a thunderstorm fortunately without too much rain.
Dinner at the other recommended restaurant, La Grenouillere, was unexpectedly good and the frogs legs were really really first rate. We have eaten far too much and the walking during the day has been grossly inadequate to work it off.
Lots of opportunities to practice my Coffee Break French but comprehension is still very poor but improving.
