Another day trip from the really very useful "Marche" by the Touring Club of Italy, an AA Travel Guide.
Up to San Ginesio then on to Belforte d. Chienti and Tolentino, the latter a larger town and like most of the others it does not seem to be very attractive. The smaller ones are by far the more interesting (and cleaner and less grafitti and the like).
The scenery is much more agricultural away form the park and it is astounding how many hill top towns there are. Things must have been pretty warlike in these parts.
A modest lunch in Urbisaglia (sandwich) completes the trip and we head back to Amandola in 27 degree tempretures. Forecast is for rain on Sunday, when we leave :(
Dinner at the Hotel Paradiso again was really very good. Mama's home made pasta and fried calamari (friday's fish). We also found the short route, it's just up some steps at the back, you don't need to walk all around the town for an hour to get there.
