A very early arrival (and a good sleep on the plane) gave us the day to play in Hong Kong. Our kip is the Kowloon hotel is very central but the rooms are tiny, there's not even room for the hamster wheel.
Getting out of the hotel the first obstacle was a tout claiming we had won a major prize in a 'survey' and all we needed to do was......... Turns out there are a lot of them, move rapidly on to the Ferry across to Central.
The place has changed in the 30 odd years since we were last here and you have to wonder at how so many people fit into such a small area.Add a comment
We've never been to Macau and this seemed like the opportunity. There's an excellent ferry service from Central (we found on the way back there's an even better one from Kowloon, where we are staying, but the Lonely Planet chooses not to mention this).
What is first rate value is the Macau information office at the Macau Ferry terminal. The lady there was full of information, maps, suggestions and so pleasant. First rate.Add a comment
