Rather a shame to be leaving the charming L'Ecole Buissonniere.
We follow the coast road taking in Deauville and Trouville (very like Brighton and Hove we thought) stopping for an excellent gallet lunch at Houlgate and then a visit to the Grand Bunker at Ouistreham. This bunker is very strange as although it was very well fortified the occupants had only a very small aperture to shoot out of. Three British solders were able to take it.
Our final stop for the day was the very cold and windy lookout at Arromarches to see the Mullberry harbour then on to our accommodation at Le Bayeux hotel in Bayeux.
Dinner was a touch hard to find but we settled on the sometimes recommended Le Pommier where the food was very good although the service was a little patchy at times.
